Bruce Spoelman, Executive Director

Bruce has a history with Camp Pendalouan, having camped there as a child and worked on staff as Waterfront Director in the 1970's. Returning in 2004 as the executive director, he brings over 20 years of experience in camping, business and financial management. Bruce lives at camp part-time in the summer and otherwise lives in Grand Haven with his wife, Margaret, and two daughters, Katie and Gretchen. Margaret is a licensed professional counselor/consultant and is a great staff resource.

Lori Willson, Associate-Executive Director

Lori is a warm and familiar face at Camp Pendalouan, having worked on staff for over ten years. Her leadership with Outdoor Education has established a solid link with schools in the area, and she currently heads up the summer and weekend programs for camp as well. Excellence is one of Lori's goals in programming at Camp Pendalouan and she makes sure things are done well. The hiring and supervision of program staff is one of her primary responsibilities and Lori finds quality people to get the job done. She lives at camp with her husband Dan, and two children, Kate and Kevin.

Dan Willson, Maintenance Director

Dan is part of Lori's team and his background in camp programming makes him an ideal maintenance director. His talents and abilities to accomplish maintenance tasks blend well with his understanding about priorities and the importance of safety in an environment where most activity is outdoors. Dan's talents with leading groups provides a dual role where he may be seen leading a weekend group and/or the occasional campfire. His initiative and excellent standards make for a safe and clean setting for fun.

Melody McPherson, Office Manager, Administrative Assistant

Melody has also worked at camp for many years, and brings a wealth of experience and competence to her many, varied tasks. Not only does she handle the registrations for all programs, the mailings and the phone calls, but she is the one that trouble shoots many problems for people when they need help.
